The third studio album from LA Underground band, Magnolia Memoir is already creating buzz.
iTunes New & Noteworthy
"Magnolia Memoir Plays with Fire on Stunning New Album"... Kevin Yeanoplos/ Examiner
“A beguiling singer who won’t be underground long…Nothing out of LA has sounded like this” – Chris Walker
“Curiously unique, a songstress who is mesmerizing and slides neatly into the indie pop world. Watchout for her in 2014 as she is quickly on the rise.” -Cindi Avnet – Balcony TV
Their second album, The Perfect Crime (February 2012), received universal critical praise. As an iTunes New & Noteworthy album. iTunes remarked that the once indie jazz ensemble had “…ventured decisively (and often explosively) into the Triple AAA, alternative rock territory.”
With their third studio album, Pale Fire (Sept 16, 2014), Magnolia Memoir solidifies their alternative rock status with an explosive concept album rife with crossover appeal.
“Odds & Ends” signals the first foray into the mainstream by underground band.
From their forthcoming album, Pale Fire, “Odds & Ends” is a slice of indie pop perfection. With shades of Regina Spektor and The Beatles and a pinch of Panic! at the Disco’s “9 in the Afternoon,” the premiere single is the brightest of the album, whose tracks range from the haunting and stark “No One Like You” to the Mississippi swagger of “Ash & Bone” and the playful gypsy punk of the title track, “Pale Fire.”
With fans including Will Forte (SNL, Nebraska), Doris Roberts (Everybody Loves Raymond), Ione Skye (Say Anything), comedy legend Fred Willard (Anchorman/Wall-E), and Jorge Garcia (Lost /Hawaii Five-0) all appearing in the Official Video for the lead single,(Odds & Ends) expect 2014 to be a breakout year for Magnolia Memoir whose reputation has been in steep ascent since their debut performance at LA’s famous Largo at the Coronet.
